TRUMPF invests a further 3.2 million euros in Optimate

trump investment

Successful follow-up financing

We are happy having started the new quarter with great news: our mother company TRUMPF is investing a further 3.2 million euros in Optimate (press release >).

'Optimate has already inspired real enthusiasm among our customers and our design engineers. We’re seeing a growing need for digital assistance systems and cloud-based services in the industry, and this additional investment in Optimate will help accelerate that transformation', says Tom Schneider, managing director for research and development at TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen SE + Co. KG.

In this blog post, you find out, how we intend to use the investment to further expand our activities in the sheet-metal fabrication market:

Marketing & Sales

To further promote our service, we are going to expand our Marketing & Sales activities in the upcoming months. We have decided to cooperate with a competent partner specialized in marketing and sales of technical products and services in the B2B sector.

Jonas Steiling, CEO & Co-founder at Optimate, is looking forward to pushing things forward: 'The financing round gives us the opportunity to lift the product to a completely new level in terms of quality and technology. Sheet metal design knowledge is very difficult to access. At the same time, we are seeing a growing parts’ complexity, the number of variants is increasing. The production batch is decreasing. This means, you have to be able to react much more flexibly to new requirements. Therefore, we want to support the user directly during the design process by making implicit expert knowledge explicitly available. '

Research & Development

As already indicated, the investment sum also serves the further development of our products. 'The focus lies clearly on resilience, scalability and performance. So that you, our customers, benefit from even better, faster and more comprehensive services,' explains Max Hesselbarth (CIO & Co-founder).

Following our vision to make implicit expertise knowledge globally accessible.

Human Resources

We continue to grow: After our foundation in 2020, we have now grown to a team of seven full-time employees. In the next months, two new colleagues will join us in the areas of R&D as well as Sales to press ahead our business growth.

Martina Trinczek, COO & Co-founder states: 'We are always looking for new talents to shape the future of sheet metal design with us.' Feel free to contact us >

Stay tuned of what’s to come next at Optimate in the following months!
